Powerful Acidulant and Versatile Stabilizer

Phosphoric acid (H₃PO₄) is a strong acidulant and pH regulator widely used in carbonated beverages, jams, dairy products, and certain meat preparations. It contributes to the characteristic tangy flavor of soft drinks and enhances the stability of emulsions and preserved foods.

Supplied as a clear, colorless, and odorless liquid, it typically has a concentration ranging from 75% to 85%. Its purity complies with FCC and JECFA standards and it is approved as food additive E338.

In industrial applications, phosphoric acid allows precise pH control without altering the color or texture of the final product. It also acts as a sequestrant for calcium and magnesium, reducing mineral scaling in beverages and syrups.
