Broad-Spectrum Preservatives for Cosmetic Formulations
Methyl paraben and propyl paraben are widely used antimicrobial preservatives in cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and personal care products. They prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi in creams, lotions, shampoos, and hygiene products.
Chimtec parabens are supplied with purity above 99% and comply with Ph. Eur., USP, and ISO 11930 (challenge test) standards. Their effectiveness is maintained across a broad pH range (4 to 8) and they are compatible with most emulsions and surfactants.
