Cetyl alcohol (C₁₆H₃₄O) is a key ingredient in creams, balms, and hair care products. It plays an essential role in stabilizing oil-in-water emulsions and improving formulation texture and viscosity.
It provides a soft, protective feel on skin and hair. Used at low concentrations (1–5%), it enhances consistency without imparting a greasy effect.
Compliant with Ph. Eur. and FCC standards, with purity above 98% and a melting point between 49 °C and 52 °C. Biodegradable and allergen-free.
