Acetic acid (CH₃COOH), the main component of vinegar, is used as an acidulant, pH corrector, and natural preservative. It provides a characteristic acidic taste while limiting bacterial growth.
Commonly used in sauces, marinades, condiments, vegetable preserves, and liquid preparations, it enhances microbiological stability and product clarity.
Chimtec acetic acid complies with Codex Alimentarius and FCC standards and is supplied as a clear liquid with concentrations ranging from 60% to 80%.
