Stearic acid (C₁₈H₃₆O₂) is a saturated fatty acid used as a thickener, emulsion stabilizer, and hardening agent in creams, lotions, and soaps.

Supplied as solid white beads with a melting point of 69–70 °C and minimum purity of 98%, it is compatible with vegetable oils and wax-based formulations.

Compliant with Ph. Eur., FCC, and ISO 9001, biodegradable and non-irritating.
