Stearyl alcohol (C₁₈H₃₈O) is a solid fatty alcohol derived from natural oils, used as a co-emulsifier, texturizing agent, and conditioner in creams, lotions, and hair care products.
It improves slip, softness, and emulsion consistency, while also acting as a thickening and stabilizing agent.
Supplied as white flakes with a melting point of approximately 60 °C and purity ≥ 98%. Compliant with Ph. Eur., USP, and ISO 9001, biodegradable and non-irritating.
Advantages: silky skin feel, excellent emulsion stability, compatibility with most surfactants and vegetable oils.
