Safe, Neutral-Taste Antimicrobial Protection
Potassium sorbate (C₆H₇KO₂) is a widely used preservative that inhibits yeast and mold growth in beverages, dairy products, confectionery, sauces, and baked goods. It is valued for its neutral sensory impact.
With purity above 99%, excellent water solubility (58 g/L at 20 °C), and pH 7.5 in a 10% solution, it complies with Codex, FCC, and JECFA standards (E202), and is GMO- and allergen-free.
Effective at low dosages (0.05–0.2%) across a broad pH range (3–6.5), it has a shelf life of 24 months when stored dry below 30 °C.
